About

Ms. Hallock is a champion of the poor, the disabled, special needs children, and victims of domestic violence. She has worked hard in her criminal and civil cases to ensure a more just and open government that provides equal protection to all citizens under the law. As West District judge, she would apply evidence based methods, tested by criminal justice scholars and employed by judges nationwide, in her courtroom. Her priority would be on 1. decreasing recidivism of high-risk offenders by working overtime with parole to provide punishment that is swift, certain, and severe 2. avoiding social marginalization of Latino offenders and crime victims by providing defense attorneys and victim advocates more resources 3. encouraging more effective mental health treatment requirements in domestic violence and drug crime sentencing. Ms. Hallock’s courtroom would provide a separate waiting area for crime victims to prevent pre-trial intimidation and free childcare during the restraining order docket.
